We serve residential customers under individual household subscriptions as well as municipal contracts. In addition, we serve industrial and commercial customers across the country, providing customized non-hazardous solid waste disposal services for local, regional and national accounts. Transfer Services Our 167 transfer stations are fundamental to our vertically integrated operations, as they improve our efficiency in collecting and transporting solid waste to recycling facilities and sanitary landfills. Disposal Services Allied Waste owns and operates 167 active landfills across the country, with an average remaining life of 40 years. Our professional landfill experts employ state-of-the art methods to maintain our landfills and protect our environment, while meeting or exceeding all federal, state and local regulations. We also provide customized consulting services for handling and disposing special non-hazardous wastes. Recycling Services Our 57 recycling facilities offer waste handling and collection services and educational programs in certain markets.
